Background

The story and mission of
Tango Goldens

"Tango" is a fairly new kennel name for a very established golden retriever kennel. Teri and David Kocher have been involved with this breed since 1979, whether breeding solo or in partnership. When we chose to have control over our own breeding program again, we also chose to honor our first champion, Am/Can Ch. Oncore's Last Dance - "Tango" for short. So "Tango" it is!

We are a small kennel, producing high quality Golden Retrievers, both as great family companions and as show / performance dogs. We concentrate on all aspects of the Golden Retriever --- health, temperament, correct structure, and beauty. Our philosophy is that winning should be the by-product of a breeding program, not the purpose for it. We keep that philosophy in mind with every breeding we do.

We belong to both our local and national Golden Retriever Clubs, and have since 1980.

Breeding and showing Goldens is a hobby, a hobby we take very seriously. We are committed to our breed and our position as guardians!
