Golden Retriever Club of America
Judge: Lawrence Stanbridge

MAX 1st place, American Bred Dog Class

Max is sure on a roll! Coming off the great win in Atlanta, Max continued the fun at the National. He is still a "baby" so he was entered in the American Bred Class. Little did we know how stiff the competition would be, but that didn't stop Max. He gave it everything and walked away with the blue ribbon! Sure made that drive home easy!

  MAX BOW 3 pts

Boy are we glad that we took the long way to the National Specialty! Max was shown on Sunday in Atlanta, and came away with another major to add to the list! It was definitely worth the drive, and we especially appreciate the wonderful comments from everyone, especially Pluis Davern.

  MAX BOW 2 pts

Back to Wisconsin, for a repeat of the prior trip - Winner's Dog & Best of Winners. This trip Max and Teri added 2 more points toward Max's championship. Max also got to meet his 'grandmothers', as they flew all the way from California to see him strut his stuff! It was sure great to have "family" there to join in on the celebration.

  MAX BOW 4 pts

Max went to Wisconsin without his Mom or Dad, but he didn't let that stop him. He came home with his second major (4 pts) having gone Winner's Dog and Best of Winners. We owe a big debt of gratitude to Brian Rex for the effort he went to for Max. Without him and his expert handling, Max would not have been able to accomplish this great win!

Another great day for Max! He started the day off by winning Best in Sweepstakes at the Canadian National and went on to win the 12-18 month regular class on his way to Reserve Winner's Dog.

But even more important than the honors he won, Max is grateful for the tremendous amount of support he had in Canada!

What a day! Between Max and Crackle, the long ride home was on Cloud Nine! Max went Winner's Dog and Best of Winners from the 12-18 month class for a 4 pt. major. Crackle started the morning by winning Best Veteran in Sweeps, but that wasn't enough. She won the Veterans class, and then won Judges Award of Merit over the youngsters!

Max had a great day in Boston, but wishes he could have had a lobster dinner before heading home! Max won a large 12-18 month regular class, and also went on to the Reserve Winner's Dog honors (5 pt. major). We thank Ms. Talbott for this win, and her lovely comments on Max.

We are thrilled to be able to share Max with his owners / breeders - Walt & June Faubion!

October 12, 2004:
GRCA National Specialty

The long drive to California was certainly worth it for Stuart. He had an impressive showing this year at the National, taking 3rd place in Veteran Sweeps, and a wonderful 2nd place in the Regular Classes. Stuart has never done anything but make Teri proud, but never more so than at this National. Not bad for an old man!

   FIRE RWD

Fire's first weekend out sure got everyone's attention. He was a joy to show and walked away with Reserve Winner's Dog (5 point major) AND Best Puppy. Not a bad way to start, especially at only 6 months of age!

STUART BISV

Stuart came away with Best Veteran in Sweepstakes at both The Golden Retriever Club of America's Eastern Regional and the Garden State Specialty. Way to go, Stuart and Teri. It was a blast!
